- 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cups peeled and sliced apples of your choice*
- 2 half-pints blackberries*
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk*
- 2 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (or both)*
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375*F.
- Toss together, apples, berries and cup of sugar in a medium bowl. Add more sugar to taste if necessary.
- In another medium bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt; whisk together. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish. Place fruit on top, do not stir.
- Bake 35 to 45 minutes until top crust is golden brown and cobbler is thick and bubbly. Serve warm with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream.
